We’ve got some exciting news for our beekeeping journey — we now have our very own hive! 🌿🐝

The hive was bought second hand, as we always try to recycle, reuse, and give things a second life wherever possible rather than buying new.

Since bringing it home, everything has been carefully cleaned up, repaired where needed, and repainted using bee-safe paint to make sure it’s ready for future colonies.

It’s really exciting seeing another piece of the Meadowtail Farm dream coming together step by step.

We also now have a nuc box ready for the collection and temporary housing of bees if needed. If anyone local requires help with reporting or safely collecting a swarm, we’ll always do our best to help or point people in the right direction 🐝

Now we’re looking forward to the next stage of our adventure — one day filling the hive with our own bees and continuing our journey into beekeeping 🍯
