Mann My Dog’s Dirty is our contracted groomer and is a  small dog grooming business currently ran from home working around children’s schooling. They try to be flexible with appointment times so if an evening is needed, they can usually work something out.

They groom 1 to 1 (unless from the same household) and they groom at your dog’s pace ensuring they are as relaxed and comfortable as can be during their grooming experience.

Full Care

As they are grooming the dogs, they check their whole body for lumps, bumps, fleas, and ticks. If anything is found owners are informed.

Grooming Sessions

Sessions will be a minimum of an hour, and could be longer depending on the breed.

For instance, a Chihuahua would be an hour. During this we would have a settling in period of 5 to 10 mins, then into the bath. Your dog will get two lots of shampoo, (the first lifts the dirt and the second ensures the coat is clean). After the bath, we move onto drying. During drying they will start with the stand drier and then the bigger drier if tolerated. Once dry, brushing will take place. If your dog has a short coat then de-shedding equipment will be used. With long coats it will be brushes then combed through to ensure there are no knots. Any trimming required will then take place – nails will be cut, ears will be cleaned if needed and teeth can be checked. During the groom, they will have a chance to do a full check over your dog’s body which will allow any lumps or bumps to be found and owner informed.

Once the groom is completed the dog will be given a sprits of paw-fume unless known skin irritation/allergies or owner’s preference to not have it.

Grooms on most breeds take approximately two hours but can take anywhere up-to four hours.
