🌱 A New Growing Experiment – Horse Chestnut Trees from Conkers! 🌱
At Meadowtail Farm, we’re always experimenting and learning new ways to grow — and this time we decided to try growing our own horse chestnut trees from conkers 🌰🌱
Over Christmas and the beginning of the new year, we started a germination experiment by keeping horse chestnuts (conkers) in the fridge and regularly checking them for signs of growth.
Once we spotted signs of life and early sprouting, we carefully moved them into tall pots inside the greenhouse to give them more room to grow.
We’re really excited to see that they’ve now started producing leaves and are growing well so far!
This has been a fun little project and another great learning experience for us as we continue developing our growing knowledge step by step.
We’ll be sure to share more updates as they get taller 🌳
