๐Ÿ More Beekeeping Training โ€“ Learning About Hives & Honey ๐Ÿ

Our beekeeping journey continues, and weโ€™ve been learning even more through our training with the Chalfonts Beekeeping Society ๐ŸŒฟ

During our latest sessions, we got to see real hives up close and learn how all the different parts fit together, along with whatโ€™s needed to get properly set up as a beekeeper.

We were also able to handle frames from inside the hive and smell the beeswax straight from the comb โ€” absolutely lush! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฏ It was amazing experiencing it firsthand and learning more about how bees build and use the wax inside the hive.

Another really interesting part of the training was tasting different honeys from around the world. It was surprising how different each one tasted depending on where the bees had been collecting nectar.

We also learned about some of the different properties and benefits of various honeys, making the whole experience even more fascinating.

Next stop will be visiting the apiary and beginning to work with the bees themselves โ€” something weโ€™re really excited (and a little nervous!) about ๐Ÿ

Every session is teaching us something new, and weโ€™re really enjoying the journey so far ๐ŸŒฑ
